Measles Mumps & Rubella (MMR) are highly infectious conditions that can have serious and potentially fatal complications, including; meningitis, swelling of the brain (encephalitis) and deafness. They can also lead to complications in pregnancy that affect the unborn baby which can then lead to miscarriage. 

Signs and Symptoms

Sufferers of MMR can experience the following common symptoms:

• Rash / Red spots

• Fever / High Temperature above 38C

• Aches and Pains

• Loss of Appetite

• Swelling of the testicles or ovaries

• Deafness

• Inflammation of the brain

• Miscarriage / Serious birth defects

Prevention

MMR is preventable by having a MMR is preventable by having a combined vaccine that protects against 3 separate illnesses; Measles, Mumps and Rubella.
